Day 4 of The Golf A-Term

Over the course of day 4, our J-Term participated in a number of activities from putting and chipping on the golf course to analyzing rule famous rule violations in golf tournaments. Golf 1 kicked off the day learning about the downswing from the book Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf. While Golf 2 had a seminar over the book Golf in the Kingdom. Soon afterwards both groups prepared the presentation. Golf 1 on famous rule violations and Golf 2 on how professional golfers prepare mentally for their tours.

And soon it was time to leave for the course. The group arrived at FM Law Park and walked over to the driving range where we picked up the golf balls. At the driving range we learned how to stretch and other important steps to take to avoid hurting ourselves while golfing. After hitting shots for a while we took a lunch break and many of the golfing veterans left to being moving through the golf. While the beginers myself included practiced putting and chipping. After a bit Mr. Roddy taught us how to repair the ball marks and other damage that we might leave on the range. Soon afterwards our group of beginners worked its way through two holes one shot at a time and to be completely honest did better than we expected. Soon after it was time to leave so we packed up our golf bags and got on the bus ready to go home.
